The basic idea i landed on with the paper prototype.

Blocking in with polystyrene sheets.I layered them so i could sand into it and get a rounded shape.

Second pass adding more polystyrene and sanding the overall shape. the hip joints are from  lego Bionicle .My go to for sturdy flexible joints.

In order for this to stand i decided i wanted to weigh it forward and give it some sort of toes to keep it upright.

You can see toes i ended up going with .simpler and fit the theme better .You can also see the where the back toe showed up .It later became a back wheel.

The nuts i used for weights i used as an exposed detail .I thought they looked like cool armor plates.
