Beach Rambler

Once the HSEV-Recon "Rambler" frames are decommission they are often re-purposed for civilian use.The back drop was built off of a photo I took on the Oregon coast.

The goal of this project was to dig deeper into Blender and create a library of my own kit bash objects for concept and idea exploration. I wanted to keep the "greebles" simple with them using as few textures as possible. Its currently using a single universal Material (still a work in progress) which allows me to slide the mesh UV's around as needed to different colors and materials. If something needs a more defined material then I can take that next step as needed. This project also had me dive into Blenders material nodes and rendering.
In the process of working through this project I built myself an isometric rendering scene where I could turn on/ off various layers and make different gauge patterns. Its already come in very handy for clean high resolution graphic work.

I love kit bashing in real life and this has felt very much like a natural extension of that process. Its been a ton of fun and I cant wait to do more.
